Our BVI Sailing Vacation

Having spent many a vacation sailing in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), I can't tell you what a great trip we had on our private crewed yacht. Usually bare boaters, we decided to get a captain and chef and put our sailing vacation in their hands. It was their great hospitality that made this sailing vacation one of our best ever.

You can help with the boat duties or just sit back and let them do all the work. They crew met us at the airport and we took off sailing shortly after. Our week long sailing vacation took us to all the great places to snorkel, eat and relax.

The first leg of our BVI sailing vacation was to Norman Island, the framed’ Treasure Island, where we dined under the stars to fantastic Pork tenderloin a' la Karoline. A few cocktails later and we we fast asleep.

By the time we got up, breakfast was being made ready and the Captain was getting ready to sail. We sailed to the baths, which is a national park, and climbed around the boulders. It’s something you have to see to believe. After lunch we sailed to Virgin Gorda Sound, which is so beautiful, you start thinking about coming here again and again just to go sailing on your vacation.

That's how it was for the rest of the trip, great food and exciting adventures day after day. Some of took the wheel for a few hours and helped with the other duties aboard our charter sailing boat. But you were encouraged to do whatever you want! After all, it’s your sailing vacation.
